RuneVote

One vote page for every toplist

A hosted page where your players vote for your server on every toplist at once. They type their name one time; each confirmed vote reaches your game through the callback you already have.

  • Players type their name once and vote on every toplist from one page.
  • Each card turns green only when that toplist confirms the vote.
  • Your game gets the same callback it already handles, nothing to rewrite.

Free for every server listed on RuneList. For RSPS owners listed on more than one toplist who want players to vote everywhere without a wall of links.

What RuneVote does

Most servers are listed on several toplists, and each one has its own vote link, its own cooldown and its own callback. Owners end up with a "vote" page that is a list of buttons, and players vote on one or two and stop. RuneVote replaces that list with a single page hosted by RuneList, at runelist.io/vote/yourserver or on your own domain.

The player types their in-game name once. Every toplist you have switched on shows as a card; each opens in a new tab, and the card turns green the moment that toplist confirms the vote. RuneList receives every toplist's callback, so the player never has to type their name again and your game gets one callback per confirmed vote, in the format your script already handles, with the toplist named in a header.

The page can be embedded in your own website with one script tag and themed to match it: ten colours, or let RuneList read your site's stylesheet and pick them. Rewards can be shown per toplist, and any vote can be checked by hand, by name or address, from your dashboard.

How it works

  1. Turn it on and pick an address

Under My servers → RuneVote, switch the page on. Your address is runelist.io/vote/yourserver; for your own domain, point a host such as vote.yourserver.com at RuneList with a CNAME and enter it there.

  2. Switch on each toplist you are listed on

Enter your listing id on that toplist and paste the callback address RuneList gives you into that toplist's settings. Every card has a test button, so you know it works before players see it.

  3. Link the page, or embed it

Put the link in your client, Discord and website, or drop the embed script into your own vote page and match its colours.

  4. Votes reach your game

For each confirmed vote your server receives one callback in the format it already uses, so rewards work on day one without changing your script.

What it can do

Confirmed by callback

A card only turns green when the toplist itself says the vote counted, not when the player clicked.

Your own domain

Serve the page at vote.yourserver.com with one CNAME; RuneList checks the DNS record and the page is live on your host.

Embed and theme

One script tag places the page inside your website. Ten colours, readable by default, or matched to your site automatically.

Rewards per toplist

Show what a vote on each toplist earns, as text or an image, so players know why it is worth the extra tab.

Check any vote by hand

Search by player name or address from your dashboard, or from your own tools with the API key.

Nothing changes in your game

The callback you have today keeps working; RuneVote sends the same request, plus a header naming the toplist.

Questions

Does RuneVote cost anything?

No. It is free for every server listed on RuneList, with no limit on votes or toplists.

Which toplists are supported?

Every toplist with a vote callback is supported and confirmed; the current list is shown on this page. A toplist without a callback is still on the page as a click-only card.

Do I have to change my vote script?

No. RuneVote calls the callback URL you already have, with the same parameters, and adds a header that names the toplist the vote came from.

Can I keep my own vote page?

Yes. The embed script places RuneVote inside any page you host, and the theme options make it look like part of your site.

What does the player see?

One page with your banner, a name field and one card per toplist. Each card opens that toplist's vote page in a new tab and turns green when the vote is confirmed, with the reward shown if you set one.
