What is a PvP RSPS?

A PvP RSPS is built around fighting other players: wilderness PKing, tournaments, target systems such as Bounty Hunter, and clan fights. On many PvP servers you can spawn or cheaply buy gear and supplies, so you're fighting within minutes. Others make you earn your gear first, which gives every kill and every loss more weight.

Who it suits

Players who play RuneScape for the fights, not the grind. Pures, hybrids and tribridders who want to test their switches, and clans looking for action.

What to look for

Whether it's a spawn server or an economy server with PvP. Which builds are supported, such as pures, zerkers and mains. How often tournaments and events run. Whether the wilderness is busy at the hours you play. What you lose on death. And how the server deals with cheating and bots.

How this list is ranked

Servers whose main category is PvP come first. Below them are other servers tagged PvP. Both parts are ranked by votes cast this month: anyone can vote once every 12 hours, free and without an account, and the ranking starts over on the 1st. Votes can't be bought, and ads never move a server up.

What is a spawn PvP server? A server where you can create gear and supplies instead of earning them, so you can start fighting straight away.

Do I lose my items when I die? That depends on the server and the area. Check its rules or guides before you risk anything valuable.
