Membership tips for Sam’s Club

Is Sam’s Club membership worth it? I’m debating signing up but have heard mixed things about customer service. Has anyone contacted Sam’s Club customer service for issues with orders or membership?

My Sams Club membership expired, and I couldn’t log in online to renew. Calling the sams club phone number solved it quickly - they even helped me apply a discount I didn’t know about. Their customer service handled it well, but I don’t get why their site doesn’t make it easier to handle these things without a call.
