MetaBank Prepaid Card Activation Issue

Received a prepaid card from MetaBank, followed the activation steps, but the card keeps getting declined when trying to use it. The balance is correct, and everything looks fine in the app, so I’m not sure if activation just takes longer or if something else is causing the issue. Has anyone run into this before?

Got a MetaBank prepaid card thinking it would be ready to use right away. Followed all the activation steps, and the app showed the correct balance, but every time I tried to make a purchase, the transaction failed. Searched https://metabank.pissedconsumer.com/customer-service.html to see if others had dealt with the same issue. Learned that some cards require a billing address to be registered before they work for online purchases. Updated the info, waited a bit, and the card finally worked. Checking the fine print on activation can save a lot of frustration.
