GoLookUp Trial Became a Charge

Wanted to run a quick background lookup on someone I was about to hire, so I used GoLookUp’s $1 trial. Thought it was just a 24-hour thing — no clear message said otherwise. Didn’t even get what I needed and forgot about it. Then four days later, I saw a $68 charge from them on my card. No email, no invoice, just the deduction. Tried using their help center but never reached a real person. I’m fine paying for a service that works, but not when it feels shady. Anyone get this reversed or is it a bank dispute kind of deal?

Signed up for GoLookUp just to double-check a potential roommate’s history. Never found anything useful, so I logged out and didn’t think twice. A few days later, my card was hit for nearly seventy bucks. I ended up searching https://golookup.pissedconsumer.com/review.html for patterns and saw it wasn’t just me. Based on that, I gathered all timestamps, wrote out exactly what happened, and filed a claim through my card provider. The charge was reversed within a week. No word back from GoLookUp, but I got my money back — just won’t risk trials like that again.
