Marceline 0
I’ve been considering installing a TV lift in my bedroom setup to keep things minimal when the screen’s not in use. I really like the idea of it disappearing into a cabinet or coming up from behind a dresser. The Progressive Automations lifts seem like a solid option, but I’m curious about long-term use. Has anyone here had one for more than a year or two? Any squeaks, slow response, or issues with alignment?
dannywito 0
Hey, I’ve actually been using one of their lifts (PA-TS3) for just over 3 years now. I mounted it inside a custom cabinet I built for my living room to hide a 50" screen. So far, I haven’t had a single issue. The movement is still smooth, no weird noises, and the remote still works like day one. I do recommend checking the mount tightness every few months – it’s not mandatory, but I’m just paranoid with anything mechanical 😅. Their tech uses linear actuators and lifting columns that are also used in standing desks and industrial apps – pretty heavy-duty. If you’re also into building adjustable furniture setups, their lifting column sets might be worth looking at too: https://www.progressiveautomations.ca/collections/lifting-column-sets They’re built with similar reliability in mind. I used a pair of those for a DIY workbench, and that thing’s a tank.
Marceline 0
I’ve been looking at the same model but was a bit hesitant. It’s good to know it holds up after years of use. I haven’t used their TV lifts, but I’ve seen one installed in a friend’s RV and it looked surprisingly sturdy, especially given the motion and vibration in that kind of setup. Definitely seems like a brand that doesn’t cut corners.
