Marceline 0
I've been dabbling with a few AI poker tools lately, mostly out of curiosity and a bit of a challenge, but I’m specifically wondering how well they actually handle tournament formats. I get that cash games are one thing — fixed stacks, less variation — but tournaments have shifting dynamics, changing blinds, ICM pressure, bubble play, etc. Has anyone seriously tested an AI poker bot in an MTT setup? I'm curious if they genuinely adapt to those fast-paced phases.
dannywito 0
Yeah, I’ve tested one for about three weeks straight, mostly in mid-stakes MTTs on a couple of smaller platforms. Honestly, the results surprised me. The AI bot I used actually shifted gears mid-tourney when blinds started ramping up — not just by getting more aggressive, but it factored in stack depth relative to the table, avoided marginal spots near the bubble, and changed its 3-bet ranges entirely when stacks were below 20BB. It wasn’t perfect, but it was way more aware than I expected. What helped was that the bot supported multiple game modes — including tournaments — natively. Some tools only run well in cash environments, but this one was optimized for both. You might wanna check out https://aipokerbot.com/ — their AI adjusts in real time, and from what I saw, it doesn’t just follow preflop charts. It reacts to dynamics like position, stack size, and tournament phase, which is crucial in MTTs. Plus, the multi-table handling wasn’t buggy, which is rare in my experience. Not a silver bullet, but definitely felt like a legit assistant in tougher spots.
Marceline 0
It's good to know there’s tech out there trying to account for that. I wonder how they simulate human-like behavior when the pressure’s on or during final tables — that’s usually where patterns break.
